*JOB TITLE: *Environmental, Safety, & Health (ESH) Technician

*REPORTS TO: *Risk/ESH Manager and Regional ESH Supervisor (directly) and Project Manager (at job-sites)

PAY RANGE: $24.00 - $30.00 Hourly DOE

Summary of position: Responsible for all aspects of Safety and Environmental requirements required for International Marine and Industrial Applicators, LLC (IMIA) during the accomplishment of work.

Essential Job Requirements: Inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with customer, company, state, and federal safety and environmental policies and regulations. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct and document safety inspections
  • Communicate safety and environmental requirements to individuals and employee groups
  • Formulate, track and conduct routine project safety and environmental training
  • Citing dangerous areas/operations and report same to onsite and offsite management
  • Conducting incident investigations
  • Ability to determine root cause of discrepancies
  • Recommend corrective procedures
  • Determine safety related trends
  • Ensuring safety equipment supply and availability is provided
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures with regards to safety and
  • environmental policies and regulations
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Works directly for the IMIA Risk/ESH Manager and ESH Supervisor with daily reporting to the IMIA Project Manager assigned to the project being accomplished
  • Primary job function typically requires exercising independent judgment.

Required Education: High School graduate and capable of taking written verbal direction. Ability to read and write with understanding. Minimum computer experience required to include Microsoft Office suite products and Adobe Acrobat. Ability to communicate orally in an effect
