Employment Type: Full time and on-call rotated in department.

Description:

The vascular angio interventional technologist assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular and non-vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Utilizes sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment to capture images of blood vessels and internal anatomy for diagnostic and therapeutic benefit.

Responsibilities:

  • Technologist must be proficient in Interventional Radiology, Vascular Interventional, and Neuro Interventional procedures.

  • Technologist must demonstrate competence in positioning techniques, as well as safe and accurate equipment utilization.

  • Technologist must demonstrate in depth knowledge of the many various catheters, balloons, guidewires, drains, ports, coils, stents, and embolization devices that are utilized during typical interventional examinations.

  • Technologist must demonstrate the capability for maintaining professional and cooperative working relationships consistent with the Holy Cross guiding behaviors, as well as support the mission and philosophy of Holy Cross Health.

What you will need

Required:

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.

  • ARRT Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Vascular Interventional Radiography, or equivalent

  • Licensed by the State of Maryland.

  • BLS/ACLS Certified through AHA

  • At least 1 year experience in a progressive acute care setting hospital performing IR, Neuro, and Vascular cases
