Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Respiratory Care Practitioner

CTTX Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the PICU, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized respiratory care to critically ill pediatric patients.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor the respiratory status of pediatric patients in the PICU.

  • Administer and monitor mechanical ventilation and other respiratory therapies.

  • Perform arterial blood gas analysis and provide appropriate interventions based on the results.

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.

  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with respiratory therapy protocols and infection control guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric respiratory care.

  • Current BLS and PALS certifications.

  • Strong knowledge of pediatric respiratory therapies and ventilator management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

  • Passion for providing compassionate and specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients.
