Sutter Health Engineer, VoIP 2 - Enterprise Voice Operations in Sunnyvale, California

Position Overview:

Provides technical design, implementation and validation services for Unified Communications Network Infrastructure technologies. Direct areas of responsibilities include Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions (including but not limited to Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and Voice Gateways). Interfaces with Network Architecture and Engineering to provide requirements for network engineering, implementation, and operations. Communicates effectively and continually seeks opportunities to increase internal customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.


3 or more years of VoIP experience with certification

Associate's An Associate's degree in a related IS technical field Required Or equivalent education/experience

Bachelor's A Bachelor’s degree in a related IS technical field. Preferred Or equivalent education/experience

3-5 years Relevant work experience as typically acquired in 3 to 5 years.

3-5 years Network infrastructure to include converged IP networks, Routers, Switches, Voice Gateways.

3-5 years Experience in configuring Cisco IOS based media gateway devices for ISDN PRI connections, as well as an understanding of advanced IP to IP gateway funtionality.

3-5 years Prior experience with legacy PBX phone systems.
