Shift: Day Shift, M-F 7:00AM – 3:30PM
Pay rate: $24 - $32/hr. DOE
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
The principal duties and responsibilities will be:
Technicians will be responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems
Handling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containers
Gas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenance
Computer operations to support job functions and customer needs.
Support of quality systems
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
Prior experience in maintenance or as an equipment technician or in a mechanical or electronic environment is a plus
Previous experience with chemical and gas distribution equipment is helpful but not a must
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Military training is welcome
Strong technical aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Physical Effort/Activities:
Occasionally climbing ladders (utilizing fall protection)
In some cases, Technicians must put on Supplied Contained Breathing Air Respirator (this type of respirator provides air from a cylinder through a mask connected to the cylinder) while working with chemicals (approx. 10-15 minutes
Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)
Bending of the knees and overhead reaching
PPE made available to workers includes safety glasses, hard hat, ear plugs, chemical aprons, gloves, etc. Worker will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear
