Job Summary

Leads the ongoing implementation of Citrus Valley Health Partners compliance and privacy program, actively contributing to and supporting its effectiveness related to compliance and privacy. Develops, implements, maintains, and evaluates Compliance and Privacy policies and procedures to comply with federal and state privacy and security regulations. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Corporate Compliance Officer to coordinate staff education, investigations, audits, communication with business associates, and responses to governmental agencies. Coordinates and supports the development, revision, approval, and implementation of corporate and administrative policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor`s degree in public policy, health care, or related field. Knowledge of federal and California privacy and security laws and regulations, including an emphasis on current federal HIPAA, HITECH Act, California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA), AB211, SB541, and other federal and state privacy and security related compliance requirements.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

A minimum of three years working experience with privacy and security compliance, preferably in the healthcare industry (advanced degree may substitute for experience). Must be proficient in MS applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint Presentation). Project management and/or LEAN and Six Sigma Training preferred. Comprehensive experience with overseeing and administering compliance and privacy policies and procedures and investigations. Excellent analytical skills, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills required. Ability to identify root cause issues and ensure appropriate action. Strong organization skills to prioritize a high volume work load. Must be willing to learn new tasks and take on new responsibilities when needed. Excellent customer service skills required.

Minimum License Requirement:

Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) and/or Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) required or completion with 12 months of hire/transfer.

Pay Range:

$42.96 - $61.43
